Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card: 200,000-Point Bonus and Key Costs
The Boundless card offers 200,000 points after $3,000 in spending, plus travel perks and up to $100 in airline credits. Check eligibility and costs first.

The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card’s 200,000-point welcome bonus is the headline, but the spending requirement, annual fee and redemption options determine whether the offer fits a household’s plans. New cardmembers can earn the bonus by spending $3,000 on purchases within three months of opening the account. The offer ends November 11, 2026, and the annual fee is $95.
What the welcome offer requires
The bonus is earned after $3,000 in purchases during the first three months from account opening. That’s an average of $1,000 a month across the introductory period, though the card’s terms govern which purchases count. A useful way to assess the offer is to compare the spending requirement with expenses you already expect to pay, rather than treating the bonus as a reason to spend more.
The card also has an airline purchase credit worth up to $100, split into two $50 statement credits. To receive the first credit, activate the offer by December 31, 2026, and spend at least $250 on eligible purchases made directly with airlines from June 4 through December 31, 2026. A second $50 credit applies after another $250 or more in eligible direct airline purchases from January 1 through June 30, 2027. The maximum is $100 in statement credits through June 30, 2027.
People who apply between June 4 and December 31, 2026, will be registered for the airline offer when they activate the card. Existing eligible cardmembers need to activate the offer by December 31, 2026. Since the credit requires airline purchases in two separate periods, its value depends on whether those purchases fit your travel plans.

Where the card earns points
At Marriott Bonvoy properties, the card earns up to 17 points per dollar in total: 6 points per dollar from the card, up to 10 points per dollar from Marriott Bonvoy membership, and up to 1 point per dollar associated with automatic Silver Elite status. The stated total is an upper limit; the amount from the loyalty program can vary by property and member status.
For other purchases, the card earns 3 points per dollar on the first $6,000 spent each year in combined purchases at grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants. After that combined limit, those categories no longer earn at the 3-point rate under the terms listed here. All other purchases earn 2 points per dollar.
Spending also contributes toward status-related benefits. The card provides one Elite Night Credit for every $5,000 spent. Separately, it grants 15 Elite Night Credits each calendar year toward the next status level, and Silver Elite status each account anniversary year. Spending $35,000 in a calendar year earns Gold Elite status. These are distinct paths and thresholds, so the value depends on how much you already stay at participating hotels and whether the credits help with a status goal.
Travel perks and the annual fee
Each year after the account anniversary, cardmembers receive a Free Night Award usable at a redemption level of up to 35,000 points. The card also includes complimentary Premium Wi-Fi and has no foreign transaction fees. Listed travel protections include baggage delay insurance, lost luggage reimbursement and trip delay reimbursement. Purchase protection covers new purchases against damage or theft for 120 days, up to $500 per claim and $50,000 per account.
Those features sit alongside the $95 annual fee. A free night or travel protection may be useful, but its practical value depends on how you use the card and whether the award can be redeemed for a stay you want. The source also notes that cardholders may become eligible to upgrade to the Ritz-Carlton Credit Card; see the details here.
Eligibility matters before applying
The offer is unavailable to current holders of the Marriott Bonvoy Premier, Boundless or Bold cards, including certain cards previously known as Marriott Rewards Premier or Premier Plus. It is also unavailable to people who held a Premier, Boundless or Bold card and received a new-cardmember bonus within the last 24 months. The card is subject to the Chase 5/24 rule. Review the application terms against your own card history before relying on the advertised bonus.
How Bonvoy points fit into the picture
Marriott Bonvoy covers 30 hotel brands, from budget stays to luxury properties. The source estimates points at about 0.6 cents each, but that figure is a rough valuation rather than a guaranteed cash value. Award prices vary: the article lists typical redemption rates from 7,500 to 100,000 points per night, with some luxury properties costing more. Marriott uses dynamic pricing, so the points required can differ by hotel and stay.
Marriott’s base earning rate is generally 10 points per dollar at its properties, although some budget brands earn at lower rates. Elite members receive additional points: Silver earns 10% more, Gold 25%, Platinum 50%, and Titanium and Ambassador 75%. Marriott points can also be transferred from Chase Ultimate Rewards and American Express Membership Rewards, and some free-night awards can be topped up with as many as 25,000 points. Those options add flexibility, though the value still depends on available stays and the number of points required.
The 200,000-point offer may suit someone who can meet the spending requirement with planned purchases and has a realistic use for Marriott points. The deadline, eligibility limits, $95 annual fee and changing award prices all belong in the same calculation. Check the terms and likely redemption before treating the headline bonus as its full value.
